Alpha on Big Screen Soon

After a long wait of 8 years, Nasiruddin Yousuff Bacchu’s ‘Alpha’ is ready for the silver-screen. This will be the National Award winning director’s third film with ‘Ekattorer Jishu’ in 1993 and ‘Guerrilla’ in 2011.

The movie is produced under the banner of Impress Telefilm and will be screened for the audience on 26th of this month, as confirmed by consultant (film), Impress Telefilm, Abu Sahed Emon, also a film director.

Regarding the film, Emon said, “After a long break Bacchu bhai’s film is coming to big screens. In the meantime, ‘Alpha’ has been sent to the SAARC Film Festival for screening. Audience will be able to watch the movie before the festival. Hopefully the movie will have the same fanfare as Impress Telefilm’s ‘Guerrilla’.”

The story of ‘Alpha’ revolves around a citizen from a third world country. It will feature the harsh realities of a mechanised city life and the inter-clash faced by an artiste for his survival.

The lead characters of the movie will be portrayed by young debutants Alomgir Kabir and Doyel Mash. Other characters of the film include veteran actor A T M Shamsuzzaman, Hira Chowdhury, Ishrat Niishat, Mustafiz Nur Imran and Vaskar Rasha. Other actors were selected through auditions and screen-tests, who as per the director are mostly from theater.

The film is being jointly produced by Faridur Reza Sagar and Esha Yousuff. The movie’s plot and screen-play have been written by Nasiruddin Yousuff Bacchu himself. The movie has been edited by Catherine Masud.
