Saltha Upazila AL unit held a press conference in the upazila of Faridpur on Sunday in protest of alleged false baseless, misleading and conspiratorial propaganda against Deputy Leader of Parliament Syeda Sajeda Chowdhury's family and Saltha UZ Chairman Md. Wadud Matubbar.
Habibur Rahman Hamid, Senior Vice President of Upazila AL unit presided over the press conference. UZ Chairman Md. Wadud Matubbar, GS of Upazila AL unit Faruk Uzzaman Fakir Mia, Joint GS Abdul Wahab, Gias Uddin Gias and others were present at the time.
“Recently, Faridpur district AL unit president's house was attacked. In connection with the attack, propaganda was spread connecting family members of the Deputy Leader with the attackers on social media.
While, news was published in a newspaper alleging UZ Chairman Wadud Matubbar of the attack. Which is very sad and we strongly condemn and protest against this baseless propaganda”, said speakers at the press conference.
