All will be brought under Covid-19 vaccination: CCC Mayor

Chattogram City Corporation (CCC) Mayor Rezaul Karim Chowdhury said that despite the lack of vaccines to deal with the ongoing covid-19 epidemic situation, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's government has brought the poor people of our country under the free covid-19 vaccine.  Which is a big achievement for us.

He said that Pfizer has started the vaccination program for those who received the 4th dose to prevent the infection of Covid-19.  The people of the country are now safe due to vaccination at the right time.  It is a rare achievement to pass a death-free day in such a large populous country, we are doing the work with everyone's sincerity and cooperation.  Every person in the city will be vaccinated.  No one in the city will remain unvaccinated.  And this has been possible due to the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

He said this while speaking as the chief guest at the discussion meeting during the inauguration of the 4th dose of the vaccine to prevent the spread of Covid-19 at CCC General Hospital on Tuesday morning.  Chief Health Officer Dr. Salim Akhtar Chowdhury delivered the welcome speech.  Health Standing Committee Member Councilor Abdus Salam Masum, Reserved Councilor Nilu Nag, Health Officer Dr. Md. Imam Hossain Rana, CCC Zonal Medical Officer Dr. Tapan Kumar Chakrabati, Dr. Akil Mahmud Nafe, Pediatrician Dr. Mizanur Rahman were present.

CCC Mayor said that 11 points CCC run General Hospital, Chattogram Medical College Hospital, 250-bed General Hospital, Chappa Motalek Hospital, Bandar Tila Hospital, CMH, Bandar Hospital, Police Hospital, Kattoli Mostafa Hakim Mother Hospital from 9 am to 2 pm every day.  Vaccination will continue.  In this phase, people above 60, frontline fighters, people with low immunity, freedom fighters, pregnant women and lactating mothers will be vaccinated.

He said, CCC has sufficient amount of vaccine available.  Citizens are urged to wear masks, wash hands regularly with soap and be health conscious to protect themselves from Covid-19.
