Education Department has received all the allotted text books for distribution among the students of primary schools in the new year- 2024, in the district.
According to District Primary Education Office (DPEO) sources, 16 lakh 19 thousand 151 text books were allotted for the students from pre-primary to class five in the district.
The DPEO office said, 39,170 text books and 39,170 exercise books were allotted for pre-primary students.
Besides 1,97,705 books for class one students, 2,04,516 books for class two students, 4,02,690 books for class three students, 3,82,362 books for class four students and 3,53,538 books for class five students were allotted in the district.
District Primary Education Officer, M M Mizanur Rahman said, “We have received all the allotted text books.
The text books have already been dispatched in all the seven upazilas for distribution among the students on the first January, 2024, he added.
