Minister of Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives, Md Tajul Islam, said that everyone's involvement is necessary to achieve the SDGs, everyone's active participation will accelerate the achievement of the SDGs. So the government wants to include people from all walks of life.

He said these things at a discussion meeting titled 'Public Hearing, National Development and Local Reality' organized by Citizen Platform Bangladesh to implement SDGs at Krishibid Institute in the capital on Saturday (03 December).

The minister said that we have to progress step by step in the long term to make permanent development in all areas including poverty, health, education. The local government minister said that various problems including corruption and terrorism in the country have not been solved 100%.

But the current government has many achievements. Even if there is an opportunity to criticize, the unprecedented development of this government should not be denied.

He also said that communication system is a prerequisite for economic development. Along with physical infrastructure, information technology or digital Bangladesh is done. This facility of 100% electricity has reached all the citizens. Still not even 1% of our production is coal based. Without mixed fuel it is not possible to face any adversity in the future. Therefore nuclear, coal, liquefied gas and imported gas are used to generate electricity.
