Blankets have been distributed among more than a thousand poor people in Ishwardi upazila of Pabna district, organized by 'All Community Club Gulshan Dhaka'. The blankets were distributed in front of the Ishwardi Press Club at 3.30 pm on Monday. Ishwardi Upazila Nirbahi Officer Imrul Kayes was the chief guest. Samakal Suhrid Samabesh Ishwardi branch was in overall cooperation in distributing blankets.
Ashraf Ali Khan Monju, Director of BBS Cables, Social Worker and Director of All Community Club Gulshan Dhaka and Director Sahabuddin Sabu addressed the discussion as special guests. Ishwardi Municipality Secretary Zahurul Haque among others. Emdadul Haque, a heroic freedom fighter and Samakal Suhrid assembly member, Shahidul Islam Shahid, in-charge (SI) of Ishwardi outpost police and Masudul Islam Masud, general secretary of Samakal Suhrid Ishwardi branch spoke on the occasion. Welcoming remarks were made by RK Babu, President of Samakal Suhrid Samabesh Ishwardi Branch. Samakal Ishwardi representative Selim Sardar was present at the meeting.
The chief guest PM Imrul Kayes thanked the eminent industrialist Ashraf Ali Khan Manju for standing by the helpless people and said that those who think for the poor, research and do something for them are real people. He called on those who are rich in the society like Ashraf Ali Khan to stand by the helpless.
