Police personnel on Monday joined at all nine police stations in Brahmanbaria after seven days.
Police personnel, including the Officers-in-Charge (OCs), of District Sadar, Sarail, Nasirnagar, Kasba, Ashuganj, Bijoynagar, Akhaura, Nabinagar and Banchharampur police stations joined the police stations in the morning on Monday.
So the normal environment has started returning in the police stations. At the same time, a relief has started to come back to people’s mind.
Superintendent of Police of the district Md Shakhawat Hossain said the members of police have joined in every police station of the district. With the assistance of the Army personnel, complaints are being filed and official operations are being held. The overall operation of the district police will resume soon.
Earlier on August 5, Sadar, Ashuganj, Akhaura, Kasba and Bijoynagar police stations came under attack after the resignation of former prime minister Sheikh Hasina. Among the police stations, Sadar Police Station was completely damaged. The rest of the police stations were less damaged. The operations of the nine police stations of the district were halted after that.
