Students of Nasima Kadir Molla High School and Homes in Narsingdi have stunned with their exceptional results under the Dhaka Education Board. All 320 examinees from the institution achieved GPA-5 in this year’s Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations.
The students burst into joy with their remarkable success, and many parents joined them in the celebrations. Some were even seen shedding tears of happiness after receiving the good news.
The results of this year’s SSC and equivalent examinations were published simultaneously yesterday. However, unlike previous years, the results were not announced centrally; instead, each education board published its own results separately.
According to the published data, the overall pass rate this year stands at 68.45 percent, with a total of 139,032 students securing GPA-5. In terms of both pass rate and GPA-5 achievers, female students have outperformed their male counterparts.
The results were made available on the respective boards’ websites at 2 pm on Thursday (July 10). The Dhaka Education Board also presented a consolidated summary on behalf of all education board chairmen.
Officials at Nasima Kadir Molla High School said that although the number of GPA-5 achievers decreased in the central results this year, their school achieved a 100 percent GPA-5 success rate. A total of 320 students appeared in the examination, and every one of them secured GPA-5.
This year, a total of 779,757 female students participated in the SSC and equivalent examinations. Among them, 551,077 passed, registering a pass rate of 70.67 percent. On the other hand, 699,553 male students took part, with 455,477 passing — a pass rate of 65.11 percent.
