Alamgir, Dipok replace Saad and Rakib

Defender Alamgir Molla and forward Dipok Roy will replace Saad Uddin and Rakib Hassan for the upcoming match of the joint qualifiers of the World Cup 2026 and Asia Cup 2027 against Lebanon.

Bangladesh, who returned from Melbourne on Friday night after an embarrassing tour when they went down to Australia by 7-0 in the first match of the competition will play their second match at home ground against Lebanon on Tuesday.    

Alamgir Molla and forward Dipok Roy were in the 30-man preliminary squad but could make room in the Melbourne bound 23-man final team and had to leave the camp thereafter the team’s departure for Australia.

Saad and Rakib, who saw yellow cards in two matches in row, were ruled for the tomorrow’s match, as Alamgir Molla and Dipok Roy returned to the camp and have already joined the camp on Saturday might.             

Forward Rakib Hasan and defender Saad Uddin, who are missing the home match against Lebanon, are expected will return in the next match against Palestine.  

Dipok will make his international debut for in the match against Lebanon. 

The national team after having a rest day on Saturday, had their practice session at the Armed Police Battalion (APBN) Stadium, Uttara on Sunday.
