Kishoreganj District Juba Command Convener Syed Ashfaqul Islam Titu said the main strength of the Awami League was people and the organization. These words are synonymous in the Bengali dictionary of Bangabandhu-Public-Awami League-Bangladesh.
He made the remarks in a function to distribute protection materials to grassroots activists through the presidents and general secretaries of 11 unions of the Sadar upazila at his residence in Kharampatti in the district town on Wednesday night (August 12).
He said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, daughter of Bangabandhu, is leading Bangladesh to the highway of development. We will soon be able to overcome the shock that hit the economy of Bangladesh during the Corona period. We are working every day to connect with the common people. It is because Awami League believes in empowering the people. People are our strength.
District Awami League General Secretary MA Afzal, Organizing Secretary Abdul Aziz, Sadar Upazila Awami League President Advocate Md. Ataur Rahman, Member-Secretary of Kishoreganj District Transport Owners' Association Sheikh Farid Ahmed and leaders and activists of District Awami League, Jubo League and Chhatra League including President and General Secretary of 11 unions of Sadar Upazila were also present.
