Awami League's 75th founding anniversary was celebrated by the district Awami League in Meherpur on Sunday.
On the occasion of the 75th founding anniversary of Bangladesh Awami League, the national flag and party flag were hoisted and wreaths were placed on the premises of the local MP and Public Administration Minister Farhad Hossain's residence on Sunday morning.
Public Administration Minister and District Awami League President Farhad Hossain MP started the day-long programme by hoisting the national flag. On that time, a wreath was placed on the portrait of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
Farhad Hossain presented wreaths on behalf of District Awami League. Later, floral wreaths were presented separately on behalf of Meherpur city Awami League and College Chhatra League.
Meherpur District Awami League General Secretary MA Khalek, Joint Secretary Advocate Ibrahim Shahin, Legal Affairs Secretary PP Pallab Bhattacharya, Sadar Upazila Parishad Chairman Anarul Islam, Mujibnagar Upazila Chairman Amam Hossain Milus and leaders of Awami League were present.
