The 71st founding anniversary of Awami League, one of the oldest political parties in the subcontinent, was celebrated at Raipur upazila and municipality in Lakshmipur on Tuesday.
District AL unit member and Raipur Municipality convener Kazi Jamshed Kabir Baki Billah presided over the function.
At the beginning of the program, homage was paid to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
Among other programs on this occasion–discussion based on the glorious history of the Awami League and Special prayers for the welfare of the country.
Leaders and activists of AL and its front bodies from the upazila and the municipality participated in the program following the hygiene rules.
