The leaders and activists of Awami League and allied organizations have marched in different places of the capital so that BNP cannot create any kind of anarchy around the mass meeting.
It was seen on the ground in different areas of the capital today on Saturday that the leaders and activists from different parts of the capital started gathering in front of the central office of Awami League at Bangabandhu Avenue.
In these processions, apart from the party slogans of the Awami League, the party leaders started giving slogans warning BNP one after another. The participation of all kinds of people, men and women, youth and youth was spontaneous in these processions on foot, on motorcycles or in van-rickshaws.
Meanwhile, Awami League Joint General Secretary and Information and Broadcasting Minister Dr. Hasan Mahmud spoke to the journalists standing in front of the Awami League central office at Bangabandhu Avenue.
He said, Awami League is on alert to cooperate with the government. As a government party, our responsibility is to support the government. So that no one can create chaos in the country.
Hasan Mahmud said, our leader (Sheikh Hasina) has ordered us to be on alert - so that the government cooperates in maintaining peace and order. Following that order, we are keeping a watchful guard in Dhaka city, ward by ward, neighborhood-mahalla.
At that time Awami League presidium members Mofazzal Hossain Chowdhury Maya Bir Bikram, Kamrul Islam and Khairuzzaman Liton, Labor Affairs Secretary Habibur Rahman Siraj, Jubo League General Secretary Mainul Hossain Khan Nikhil, Volunteer League President Gazi Mejbaul Hossain Sacchu, General Secretary Afzalur Rahman, Krishak League General Secretary. Leaders and workers of Metropolitan South Awami League, Jubo League, Chhatra League and Volunteer League were present along with Secretary Ummekulsum Smriti.
Earlier, the leaders and workers of various organizations of Awami League started gathering in front of the central office of Awami League from 8:30 am. Later they marched around Bangabandhu Avenue and surrounding areas.
Meanwhile, on the day of BNP's general meeting, the Chhatra League held a protest march in the Mirpur Bangla College area of the capital. Also, the leaders and workers of the organization roamed the streets on motorcycles after a while.
Leaders and activists of Awami League are on alert at every corner of Gulshal area of the capital like Mirpur. On the surface, it can be seen that the leaders and activists of Awami League and its affiliates and affiliated organizations are sitting on one side of the main road at the junction of Gulshan-1 and Gulshan-2. During this time they are seen giving different slogans against BNP-Jamaat.
Chhatra League leaders and activists took a stand in Dhaka University area so that BNP leaders and activists cannot create terror and anarchy.
