Awami League (AL) science and technology affairs sub-committee is working to create a platform of one lakh online activists to curb the spread of rumors on social media platforms.
To this end, the AL subcommittee is conducting training and workshops for online activists across the country, a press release said.
A workshop titled 'Samajik Jogajog Maddhome Prochar Koushol' was organized at the Council Hall of the Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh (IEB) in Dhaka.
With sub-committee Chairman Dr Hossain Mansur in the chair, the workshop was addressed, among others, by member secretary and AL Science and Technology Affairs Secretary Engineer Md Abdus Sabur.
