Bangladesh will play a home series against Windies in January. It is not yet certain whether former skipper Mashrafe bin Mortaza will be in the series or not.

However, national team fast bowler Al-Amin Hossain thinks that having an experienced cricketer like him in the team is good.

Al-Amin made the remarks after a light practice session at the academy ground in Mirpur on Saturday. He thinks that Mashrafe performed well in the recently concluded Bangabandhu T20 Cup.

Al-Amin said, "I played with him, he is a very good leader. Together we worked on fitness. Mashrafe bhai was injured for a long time. All in all, he did his best. I think he is in good shape, if he is selected in the team, then it will be good for the team. '

After recovering from injury, Mashrafe played in the Bangabandhu T20 Cup for Gemcon Khulna at the latter part of the tournament. Al-Amin played in that team. So he saw Mashrafe closely after the injury. However, Al-Amin did not want to comment on how fit Mashrafe is for the game.

He said, 'if it is a matter of fitness, then trainers or team management will understand it more. And who will be included in the team or not is not my jurisdiction. I do not want to comment on this. Team management, selectors and coaching staff will understand better. '

The Caribbeans are scheduled to arrive in Bangladesh on January 10 to play three ODIs and two Tests.
