At his early teenage, Al-Amin entered into the world of darkness. Later on, for last 10-year, he spends most of his time traversing through jungles and forest. He did not have the gut to enter his own home at day time.

He visited his house at the darkness of night and again got out from there before the appearance of the sunlight. Now, by bidding farewell to that world of darkness, Al-Amin has returned to normal life.

Al-Amin left his home when he was just 13, an age- not fit to understand the charm and beauty of life. Now, he is 25. He said he had no idea life can be so charming and attractive. Now, he can breathe in the open air by filling his lungs.

He has no more sense of guilt in his mind. Now, he can think himself as a part of the society. Everyone in society seems dear and near one to him now.

Al-Amin son of Abdul Quddus is hailed from Maroil village under Kismot Gonokoir union of Durgapur upazila of the district. He has been an extremist member of outlawed Purba Banglar Communist Party ( ML-Marxist-Leninist), Red Flag group.

Responding the call of mass -clemency of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Al-Amin along 595 extremist members of PBCP surrendered in Pabna on April-9.

The aftermath of the surrender, he received Taka 100,000 incentive from the government and he started a fishing project. Now he is earning money by engaging himself to an honourable profession. From being blessed from the Prime Minister, he is now leading a normal, carefree life.

During this Cornavirus situation, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has donated him with Taka 50,000 more incentives. On Monday, Mayor of RCC AHM Khairuzzmaan Liton and Fazley Hossain Badsha MP handed him over the cheque of the incentives from the Prime Minister at the district Police lines in Rajshahi.

56 more surrendered, former outlawed PBCP members from Rajshahi city, Bagmara, Tanore, Puthia and Durgapur Upazilas also received the cheques of the incentives of the Prime Minister.

Al-Amin informed, he was entangled with the outlawed PBCP extremist gang in 2008 at the age of 13.  He used to work as a Messenger. As a messenger, he used to carry letters and instructions of the party leaders from one place to another.

But, his activities, however, came to the notice of police and the law enforcement agency members start operation to arrest him. As a result, Al-Amin went on hiding and used to traverse places at the darkness of night only.

He had been leading his life of darkness this way for a long time. But, getting a chance to return to normal life and clemency from the Prime Minister, he took the decision to surrender along with 595-of his gang members.

Al-Amin said, he joined to the outlawed extremist gang by being lured with one of his elders. He was then a student of class VI of a local Madrasha. Many young men of the village were then involved with this outlawed gang.

Those gang members were influential in the area and no one has the gut to protest against their activities. Al -Amin claimed, outlawed gang members used to protest any injustice and irregularities and that is why he joined with them.

But, soon he could understand his fault and felt that he has stepped into the putrid, sticky mud rescuing from where was a far cry.

Al-Amin continues, since he was minor, the party leaders did not engage him any direct act of assassination or to any criminal activities. But, he worked as a carrier of messages from one place to another which was also a very important and essential task. The extremist leaders did not use mobile phones to make contact with other members.

The extremist leaders have good faith in him that is why he was entrusted with the job of a messenger. But, during working as a messenger, his life was in a stake.

Some extremist members were caught by police and they recovered some written messages from their possession and he also became a target of police. Police were searching for him and he started a life of insecurity and uncertainty.

He had been searching for the way to back to normal life. At last, taking the opportunity of the clemency of the government, he along with 56 other outlawed PBCP (M-L) members of Rajshahi, he surrendered. A total of 595 outlawed members have been surrendered in Pabna that day.  Now, he thinks, life is very nice.
