Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said that Awami League (AL) always works for the welfare of the nation. Before every election, AL placed its election pledges and it always kept its election pledges, this is the reality, the premier said while addressing the joint meeting of the AL National Committee, Central Working committee and Advisory council at her official residence Ganabhaban in the city on Saturday.
Every time AL formulated the national budget keeping in mind the election manifesto to implement the plans according to the promises made to the people. Country’s people are enjoying a better life now due to the pragmatic and timely steps of the government in the last 14 years. The ruling AL is taking the country forward in a planned way to materialize the dreams of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
The government will
have to remain vigil
to protect the people’s
lives and properties
The AL government is fulfilling what Bangabandhu had wanted to do for the development of the country and change the fate of the people. The ruling AL, as a political party, has a long tradition of fighting for the restoration of the democracy from the military rulers in the past. AL government has already completed its fourth year tenure of a record third straight term amid the Covid-19 pandemic coupled with Russia-Ukraine war, different natural disasters and conspiracies.
The next national election would be held in the first week of January 2024. As the election is approaching, Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), anti-liberation forces, Bangabandhu’s killers, plotters at Tarique Rahman’s political office Hawa Bhaban and Jamaat-e-Islami are out to grab state power using the backdoor. They are trying to oust the government by carrying out wrongdoings like movement, agitation, arson attack and terrorism.
They are also making evil efforts to create 1/11 like situation again in the country to seize state power through clandestine way. Besides, BNP-Jamaat clique is preparing to carry out sabotage acts to create unrest in the country. Therefore, the government will have to remain vigil to protect the people’s lives and properties.
