Akshay Kumar has made a massive announcement, revealing a new release date of ‘Good News’. The Dharma Productions venture, which will bring together Akshay and Kareena Kapoor Khan, is scheduled to hit the screens during Christmas this year. December 27, also Salman Khan's birthday, is when the slice-of-life film will hit the screens.
‘Good News’ is produced by Dharma Productions and Cape Of Good Films and was earlier scheduled to release in September. Directed by Raj Mehta, the dramedy features Akshay and Kareena as a married couple, as well as Diljeet Dosanjh and Kiara Advani. The film chronicles Akshay and Kareena's planning for parenthood through IVF. Bebo made headlines when she was spotted shooting for ‘Good News’ with a fake baby bump. With this film, Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor Khan will reunite after a gap of 10 years. They were last seen together in ‘Kambakkht Ishq’.
Kareena had recently opened up about her relationship with Akshay Kumar. She had said, "Akshay is one of the most dedicated and disciplined stars that we have. We haven’t worked in a film for the longest time and now ‘Good News’ is happening. It’s an exciting project for us to be a part of. It has the right humour and emotions for all ages. Working with him is always fun. The best part is that he doesn’t waste time, so, we go on set, wrap up and I can head home to be with my son, Taimur (laughs)."
Earlier this month Akshay Kumar announced the wrap of ‘Good News’.
