AIUB ranks 2nd in Bangladesh in THE Impact Rankings

The American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB) has secured the 2nd position among all public and private universities in Bangladesh in the Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings 2025. The announcement was made recently, marking a significant milestone for the institution in promoting sustainable development and global standards in education.

In this year’s rankings, AIUB has earned a place in the prestigious 101–200 tier globally for its remarkable performance in Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) ‘No Poverty’ and ‘Decent Work and Economic Growth’. The university also achieved commendable positions in ‘Quality Education’ and ‘Partnership for the Goals’, further establishing its commitment to social responsibility and community development.

AIUB has been placed in the 601–800 tier globally in the overall Times Higher Education Impact Rankings 2025, placing it second in the country. This ranking evaluates universities based on their contribution to the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals. It measures areas such as research, teaching, community outreach, sustainability initiatives, and social impact.

University officials expressed pride in achieving this international recognition. They stated that AIUB’s success reflects its continuous dedication to academic excellence, impactful research, and sustainable development efforts. The university has prioritized quality education and initiatives aimed at creating a better and more inclusive future for all.
