Model-actor Airin Sultana has returned home last Sunday on May 5 after completing her film shoots in Purulia, Jharkhand and Kolkata. This is the first time she is working in a Kolkata film which is titled ‘Shivratri’.
Her shooting is completed and she says that her work has been very good there and she waits for the post production and editing to be finished to watch the film.
The film ‘Shivratri’ has been directed by Raj Aditya Bandopadhyay. The main plot of the story is by the father of the director Debashish Bandopadhyay. The story revolves around a village by a hill called Sitanpur which mysteriously turns into a place of death and turmoil. One after another killings and mysterious posters by the sides of the dead bodies put the authorities in confusion. It is written on the posters --- “I am fighting. I am not saying you should support me. Just think why a person resolves to fighting.”
Reports regarding the film say the story of the film centers around a theater artist named Madhuban. He gets confused about the quick changes in his surroundings. Then, later on, he slowly understands that there is no place in the society for the defeated and thus Madhuban’s new fight beings.
Sumon Bandopadhyay from Kolkata, Raj Aditya Bandopadhyay, Ariyan Dutta, Partho Sarthi Kumar and many more have performed in the film which has been made under the banner of Backbenchers.
