Air Vice-Marshal Fazlul Haque distributes certificates

Assistant Chief of Air Staff (Plans) of Bangladesh Air Force (BAF) Air Vice-Marshal AHM Fazlul Haque on Thursday distributed certificates and trophy among the graduating officers in the certificate award ceremony of No 117 Junior Command and Staff Course (JCSC).

The program was held at Falcon Hall of BAF Officers’ Mess in Dhaka said ISPR. He attended at the program as the chief guest.

On his arrival, Air Vice-Marshal AHM Fazlul Haque was cordially received by Officer Commanding of Command and Staff Training Institute (CSTI) Group Captain Md Sharif Mustafa.

In the opening address, Officer Commanding of CSTI gave a brief resume on the training and academic curriculums of No 117 JCSC. 21 officers from BAF, one officer from Srilanka Air Force and two officers from Nigeria Air Force have undergone this 14-week-duration course. 

The course is designed to train officers on effective command and staff duties within service, inter-service and joint service environments. Since inception of JCSC in 1976, CSTI is tasked to prepare future leaders of Bangladesh Armed Forces who can serve the nation with dignity and honour. 

Air Vice-Marshal AHM Fazlul Haque handed over the certificates to all graduating officers and awarded the “Chief of Air Staff’s Certificate and Trophy” to Squadron Leader Md Sarwar Muyeed for his overall best performance in the course. 

While addressing, he emphasized on applied knowledge for the graduating officers. He also thanked the government of Srilanka and Nigeria for sending officers in this course. The command and staff skills that have been achieved in the course would also be of immense value in shouldering the future assignments, he added. 

He also appreciated the institute for conducting the course successfully despite the pandemic COVID-19 situation. Senior BAF officers and other guests were present in the certificate award ceremony.
