Air Vice Marshal Sheikh Abdul Hannan has been made the chief of Bangladesh Air Force for the next three years.
Sheikh Abdul Hannan got the appointment upon his promotion to the rank of Air Marshal, reads a notification issued by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Tuesday.
The appointment will come into effect from 12 June, the notification further added.
On June 12 in 2018, Air marshal Masihuzzaman Serniabat took over the command of the BAF. He will go on retirement on June 12 this year after completing his three years tenure.
On the same day, Sheikh Abdul Hannan will take the command as new BAF chief.
