Air Force Chief leaves for USA


Chief of Air Staff of Bangladesh Air Force Air Chief Marshal Masihuzzaman Serniabata along with one entourage left Dhaka for the United States of America on Monday.

He left the country on a five-day official visit there to attend the "Pacific Air Chiefs Symposium (PACS 19)" to be held in Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam in Hawaii at the invitation of Commander of US Air Force Pacific Command.

 During the visit, he will take part in a series of panel discussions in the symposium. 

The main theme of this year’s symposium is "A Collaborative Approach to Regional Security". Panel discussions will be arranged in the symposium on Regional Security, Domain Awareness, Multi-Domain Operation, Interoperability and Humanitarian Assistance/Disaster Relief. 

Of the five subjects, Chief of Air Staff of BAF will give his remarks on Humanitarian Assistance/Disaster Relief. Besides, he will call on Air Chiefs of Sri Lanka, Vietnam, India, Brunei, France and Indonesia. 

He will also exchange views on different issues of bilateral interests during the meetings. 

It is expected that this visit of Air Chief Marshal Masihuzzaman Serniabata will play an important role for strengthening the existing relationship among the Air Forces of participating countries as well as enhancing friendly relationship between Air Forces of Bangladesh and the USA.
