Chief of Air Staff of Bangladesh Air Force Air Chief Marshal Shaikh Abdul Hannan, left Dhaka for the United States of America (USA) on Saturday on an official visit along with his spouse and one entourage member.
As part of this visit, he will inspect the current progress regarding maintenance (PDM and `C Check’) activities of two C-130 transport aircraft.
The Air Chief is scheduled to return home on October 21 on completion of the official visit, said a release of the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Directorate issued on Saturday.
Shaikh Abdul Hannan was appointed as the chief of Bangladesh Air Force for three years on promotion to the rank of Air Marshal in June, 2021.
Shaikh Abdul Hannan served in the United Nations Protection Force in Bosnia Herzegovina (UNPROFOR) in 1995. He also led the BAF Contingent (BAN AIR-4) in the United Nations Mission in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (MONUC) in 2006-07.
