Air Astra, the country’s newest private airlines, has added its third turboprop ATR 72-600 aircraft to the fleet, which reached Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA) at 08:35 pm on Wednesday.
The 70-seat ATR 72-600 (S2-STA Model) is the most modern turboprop plane in the world with comfortable cabin experience for passengers, a press release said here.
Air Astra CEO Imran Asif said on Tuesday, the aircraft left France’s Toulouse and reached HSIA through Egypt's Cairo and Oman’s Muscat.
Earlier, on November 24, 2022 the airliner started its commercial journey in Bangladesh's Sky with a domestic flight on the Dhaka-Cox’s Bazar route.
Currently, the airliner operates four flights on both Dhaka-Cox’s Bazar-Dhaka and Dhaka-Chittagong-Dhaka route daily.
Air Astra will expand its operations to all domestic destinations gradually, the release said.
