Top executives and innovators from the technology world gathered at the Mobile Broadband Forum in Shanghai this week to discuss how Artificial Intelligence (AI) is transforming the mobile industry.
According to a press release from Huawei Bangladesh on Thursday, the discussion focused on the huge opportunities created by combining AI with advanced mobile networks like 5G-Advanced (5G-A).
David Wang, an Executive Director at Huawei, opened the event by explaining that mobile AI is changing the industry in three major ways. First, mobile devices will have AI "agents" that help with our daily life and work. Second, AI is merging with the Internet of Things (IoT), creating a new gateway to a smarter world. Third, AI is now being used to manage mobile networks more efficiently, saving energy and resources.
Wang called on the industry to work together to unlock the full potential of 5G-A, which is already being developed to have faster speeds and better capabilities. The combination of 5G-A and AI is also changing industries like manufacturing. The fast and reliable connection of 5G-A allows AI-powered robots and systems to collect and process information in real-time. This helps make production safer and more efficient.
From a business perspective, this new technology is creating new ways to make money. Because 5G-A can provide smooth, high-quality experiences for things like cloud gaming or watching sports from multiple angles, companies can offer premium services that customers are willing to pay for.
In his closing remarks, Li Peng, a Senior Vice President at Huawei, said, "5G-A will deliver much stronger capabilities." He explained that it will allow mobile carriers to sell guaranteed, high-quality "experiences" rather than just internet data. He added that AI agents will help provide these custom experiences to all types of users, from individuals to large industries. This shift will help companies create new value and grow their brands in the new AI era.
