Aziz Ahmad, a devoted philanthropist and founder of the school, has made his commitment to education and community welfare with a notable contribution to Bir Mukhtizoddah Ayub Ahmad Master Memorial Institute.
Mr Ahmad has donated resources worth Tk 1 crore, including computers, furniture, and a portion of a newly constructed building within the school premises. This generous support has enabled the establishment of the Professor Ahmad Hussain Memorial Library and Research Centre—a modern facility aimed at promoting learning, research, and community knowledge-sharing.
The centre is named in honour of the late Professor Ahmad Hussain, a distinguished educationist and former Director of the Islamic Academy (now Islamic Foundation). In 1953–54, Professor Hussain became one of the first Bangladeshis to pursue postgraduate studies abroad, earning a degree in Library Science from Columbia University in New York.
Born in Maizpara, Haildhar, Professor Hussain remains a proud symbol of achievement for the local community and the nation.
Speaking on the initiative, Mr Aziz Ahmad said, “Professor Hussain was a pioneer. This centre celebrates his legacy and provides future generations with the tools and inspiration he envisioned.”
Headmaster Chandhan Bhattacharjee added, “Our founder’s vision ensures quality, tuition-free education. This library is a true gift to our children and the wider community.”
The centre strengthens the institute’s mission to empower future generations with knowledge, technology, and values.
