Agricultural dictionary app launched

Agri-Science Society (AgSS), an agricultural based nonprofit organization developed an agricultural dictionary app to facilitate agricultural education all over the world. The app was launched on Friday and it is available at Google Play Store and now available to download for free of cost.

AgSS is the leading agricultural organization which is working towards the smart development of agriculture sector. MD Akram Khan, Chief Operations Officer (COO) of AgSS told Bangladesh Post, “We developed this app aiming at help agricultural students, teachers, researchers as well as for them who are engaged with agricultural education.’’

He also stated that this app is interactively designed with 6200+ agricultural terms and terminology with clear definition and relevant example.

Tanjina Akhter Rifa, a research executive of AgSS said, “It took almost six months to design the whole app. We are grateful to our teachers and so many organizations for continuously supporting us towards this journey. Considering the internet cost of students, we made this app completely offline means no internet is needed to use this service and every feature is completely free to use.’’

Mir Mohammad Ali, a lecturer of Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University (SAU) expressed, “We usually don’t see such types of app specially designed for agricultural education.Now, we are one step ahead towards making our agri-education smart and digital. This innovation will surely add great dimension in the field of agriculture.’’

Susmita Saha, a student of Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU) said, “There was no user-friendly app to help us before. I hope this app will meet our thirst of knowledge. We will be updated with new terms and terminology as well as new features through this app.’’
