AGM of Bangladesh Computer Society held

The 30th Annual General Meeting of Bangladesh Computer Society (BCS) has been held with the expectation of establishing itself as a manufacturing country by giving importance to the initiative of spreading domestic technology products all over the world.

The activities and financial statements for the year 2021 were presented at the annual general meeting of the Abacus Convention Center at Eskaton Gardens in the capital on Wednesday, December 29 and the action plan for the coming year was adopted.

BCS President Shahid-ul-Munir chaired the meeting, a member of the executive committee Jabedur Rahman Shaheen, Secretary General Muhammad Monirul Islam, Joint Secretary General Mujahid Al Beruni Sujan, Director Mosharraf Hossain Sumon and general members of the organization including Rashed Ali Bhuiyan were present.

BCS President Shahid-ul-Munir said BCS, the country's largest IT organization founded in 1986, has already entered its 35th year. BCS WCIT 2021 and Associate Summit have also been successfully completed during the Corona period. BCS plan to open more new branches to expand IT activities across the country. BCS also has plans to take initiatives to enrich the technology sector as a producing country.

He further said that the number of members of the association which started with 15 people has exceeded two thousand five hundred. Training activities on various topics including online e-commerce business, robotics, IoT, blockchain, modern workplace are underway. BCS will continue to work to innovate the business by introducing BCS members to the latest technology. The executive committee is committed to give maximum benefits to the members.

The meeting was adjourned to wish the Esnglish New Year 2022.
