Bangladesh all-rounders Afif Hossain Dhrubo and Sheikh Mahedi Hasan have left for Abu Dhabi on Monday night to take part in upcoming T10 League. The tournament is scheduled to kick off on Thursday.

Both players were part of Bangladesh’s ODI squad for the recently concluded series against the West Indies.

However, neither of them got the opportunity to play any match during the series which finished on Monday. Tigers clinched the series 3-0. As they were a part of the squad, they had to wait till the last match to catch Abu Dhabi’s plane.

Afif and Mahedi will play for the Bangla Tigers. Afif is also the icon cricketer of this team.

Before Afif and Mahedi, four more Bangladeshi cricketers have joined their respective teams in Abu Dhabi. The four other Bangladesh cricketers are, Nasir Hossain, Muktar Ali, Mosaddek Hossain and Sohag Gazi.

Mosaddek Hossain left the country on January 23 to play for the Maratha Arabians. Muktar Ali will also play for this team. Nasir Hossain, who last played for the national team in 2018, went to Abu Dhabi to play for Pune Devils.

Six Bangladeshi players were picked for the T10 League draft on December 23. Sohag Gazi, who was not in the draft, was later included in place of Taskin Ahmed, as he was not given NOC by the BCB due to his selection in the Test squad for the Windies series.;
