Rajshahi Royals opening batsman Afif Hossain said he wants to bat at the top order for Bangladesh in white ball cricket. Afif Hossain is playing in late middle-order position for Bangladesh team in T-20 cricket after making his debut last year. Afif Hossain is having a fabulous run in the BBPL with his team in the opening position. Afif has scored 306 runs at this competition at a strike rate of 136 in opening the batting for Rajshahi, Afif played a fabulous knock of 46 runs against Sylhet in a very tricky pitch against Sylhet and told about his liking in playing at top of the order afterward.
“I like to bat at the top order especially in T-20 at number three position. I am not getting that opportunity at the national team. I never get the chance to score big runs where I bat at the national team. If I get the opportunity I will try to bat higher up the order and score runs as well “said Afif.
Afif Hossain is also looking forward to converting his starts to a big score in the future games for his team. “I told you that I love batting at number three at T20 and I batted at number 3 in first three matches,’’ said Afif. “In T20 opening there is hardly any differences in opening and batting at number three.
“Liton Bhai and I played before earlier. We played for Sylhet Sixer’s last year. There was problem with openers there and we opened together later. We have got a good understanding and for that reason we are facing no problems now,’’ he said.
