Admission process of 7 colleges postponed for lockdown

Online admission application process of seven government colleges, affiliated to Dhaka University (DU), for the 2020-21 academic year will not start from prescheduled date, July 1, due to the imposed restrictions across the country.

It was confirmed by A S M Maksud Kamal, Dhaka University Pro Vice-Chancellor (Education) and the chief coordinator of seven colleges, on Wednesday.

He told the media that the admission applications of seven colleges, which was scheduled to start from tomorrow, have been postponed due to severe lockdown. He said it will start from July 10 and will continue till August 20.

Earlier, it was informed that the online admission application of seven colleges for the 2020-21 academic year will start on July 1 and will continue till August 14.

Only students who have passed the secondary or equivalent examinations from 2015 to 2018 and the higher secondary or equivalent examinations in the year 2020,meeting fulfill the conditions of different units can apply. In the academic year 2020-21, admission test of 120 marks will be held. The pass number is 40 percent, or 48 in marks.

The date and time of admission test will be informed later considering the situation. In addition, detailed information and instructions for admission test will be posted soon on the website of seven colleges http://7college.du.ac.bd/admission.ph.
