Veteran actor and freedom fighter Masud Parvez Sohel Rana has been hospitalised with Covid-19.The actor's younger brother Masum Parvez Rubel confirmed the news to the media that he was admitted to a private hospital in the capital on Saturday evening.
Rubel further said, "His brother is currently undergoing treatment at the hospital for 3 days after being diagnosed with Covid-19. He had been suffering from cough for some time. After that, when he felt more ill, he was taken to the hospital. His physical condition is stable after admission. Please do pray for him."
The "Masud Rana" actor was staying at his house prior to the outbreak of the pandemic. He was supposed to start shooting for a film, but somehow it didn't work out.
The three times National Film Award winner is a freedom fighter as well. He produced Bangladesh's first Liberation War film titled ‘Ora Egaro Jon’and was honoured with the lifetime achievement award from the National Film Awards, among other accolades.
