Unidentified miscreants burnt Madrasah student Suma Khatun(15) badly by throwing acid on her face and hands at Boro Bautia Narayanpur village under Pakri union of Godagari upazila on Tuesday night. Suma is the daughter of Selim Reza of the same village and student of first year Alim class of Bautia Islamia Madrasha.
Police and local sources informed, after taking her supper around 10-30 pm Sumi had been watching television with her auntie at the house when miscreants threw acid on the face and hands of Sumi through the window and managed to escape. Sumi received severe burn injuries and she was admitted to the Burn Unit of Rajshahi Medical College Hospital in a critical condition.
Sumi's father Salah Uddin Khan informed, some unidentified miscreants have thrown acid on the face and hands of his daughter and she is now in a critical condition. He further said, for several days a phone call from some unidentified vagrant was repeatedly disturbing her. He demanded to identified those miscreants and take proper legal action against those.
Khairul Islam, Officer in charge of Godagari Model Police station informed, police have visited the spot and necessary legal action will be taken after filing the case in this connection.
