ACI eyes grabbing local bike market

Opens Yamaha CKD factory

In a bid to grab a major share of Bangladesh’s automobiles market, ACI Motors has inaugurated Yamaha motorcycle CKD assembly factory at Borochala, Sreepur in Gazipur recently with a production target of 60,000 units of bikes annually.

Salman F Rahman MP, Prime Minister’s Advisor for Private Industry and Investment opened the curtain of the foundation stone of the factory as the chief guest through video conference at Hotel Le Meridien Dhaka on Thursday.

Kazi M. Aminul Islam, executive chairman, Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) and Yasutaka Suzuki, executive general manager, YAMAHA Motor Corporation were present as special guests.

M Anis Ud Dowla, chairman, ACI Group and Dr. Arif Dowla, group managing director of ACI Limited were present in the event. Dr. F H Ansarey, managing director, Subrata Ranjan Das, executive director, ACI Motors, higher officials of ACI Limited were present in the programme.

Globally renowned motorbike brand Yamaha is the technical collaborated partner of ACI Motors an association of ACI Limited in Bangladesh which has strong Dealer and Service network across the country.

Yamaha Motorbike CKD Assembly Factory has been established by the direct collaboration of Yamaha Japan to provide the necessary equipment and technical supports to ensure the quality in every stage of manufacturing from this plant.

The quality of motorcycle of Bangladesh will be at par compare to the motorbike of India and Japan. Now Bangladesh would be able to produce and supply high quality motorbike in local market. Bangladesh Government policy was convenient to establish this factory.
