A young man has been hacked to death in Merul Badda area of Dhaka. There is a case of extortion against him in the police station.
Hiran Sardar (28) was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital in a bloody condition around 8:30 pm on Wednesday and was pronounced dead by the on-duty doctor.
Badda police inspector (investigation) Abdur Razzak said Hiran's home was in Bhuiyapara, Aftabnagar. At night he went to Noakhali slum in West Merul.
There, some miscreants stabbed him in different parts of his body and fled. There are several cases against Hiran under the Drug Trafficking, Terrorism, Extortion and Arms Act. He was recently released on bail after being arrested in a case and sent to jail.
