The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) on Tuesday pleaded to show corrupt contractor Golam Kibria Shamim alias GK Shamim and former Jubo League leader Khaled Mahmud Bhuiyan arrested in graft cases lodged against them, reports BSS.
Acting Judge Al Mamun of Dhaka Metropolitan Sessions Judge Court set October 27 to hold hearing matters in presence of the accused. Earlier on October 21, the anti-graft body filed the cases against them for amassing illegal wealth. ACC’s Deputy Director M Salauddin filed a case against GK Shamim and his mother -Ayesha Akhter for amassing nearly Taka 297.09 crore illegally. The other case was filed against Khaled Bhuiyan by ACC’s deputy director Jahangir Alam for accumulating illegally Taka 5,58,15,859.
