It came as a bolt from the blue to kith and kin of Tania Israt as she succumbed to her burn injuries on Thursday, caused due to her alleged attempt to commit suicide, reports BSS. Tania, spouse of an Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) director Muhammad Yusuf, met the tragic end of her life at Combined Military Hospital (CMH) as she sustained serious burn injuries in her attempt to commit suicide by setting herself on fire. The incident took place on Wednesday evening in her Uttara residence as a fire broke out in the house. Tania was at her residence as the fire led to her serious burn injuries. Most of her body was burned in flames. A unit of fire service rushed to the spot and rescued Tania from the house, said Uttara East Police Station Officer in charge (OC) Nur-E-Alam Siddique. Quoting Tania’s family members, the OC said, she attempted to commit suicide by setting herself on fire.
