In Mongla, Assistant Commissioner Land (AC Land) Nayan Kumar Rajbangshi and 6 others have been infected with novel coronavirus. The total number of corona patients in Mongla stood at 16 till Thursday.
In this regard, Dr. Jibitesh Biswas, Family Planning Officer of Mongla Upazila Health Complex, said that 7 people including Assistant Commissioner (Land) Nayan Kumar Rajbangshi have been infected with Corona in Mongla Upazila on Thursday.
Others are Mohrni (30), Shahina Khanam (30), Sajib Kumar Dey (32), Sushmita Rani (22), Iti Khan (21), Sultan Ahmed (56). He added that so far, the total number of people infected with this deadly virus is 16.
Assistant Commissioner (Land) Nayan Kumar Rajbangshi acknowledged that he tested corona positive, saying “When my body temperature increased, I went for corona test and my report came positive. But I'm physically healthy now, and I'm at home quarantine.”
