Abul Kalam pledges to work for peace

In a rare gesture of peace and amity, Awami League candidate contesting with symbol 'Boat' in the upcoming Parliamentary Polls, Abul Kalam Azad from Rajshahi-4 (Bagmara) constituency on Monday noon went to the office of Upazila Nirbahi Officer at Bagmara and shook hands and exchanged views with his opposition Independent candidate, three-times MP Engineer Enamul Haque, who is contesting with the symbol 'Scissor'. 

 Returning Officer Shamim Ahmed also settled the issues of the prevailing unwanted situations between the candidates by strengthening the mutually friendly relations between them.

Both Abul Kalam Azad and Engineer Enamul Haque shook hands and exchanged pleasantries during the period and pledged to work to ensure peace and development of the constituency.

Among others, Superintendent of Police of Rajshahi Saifur Rahman, Additional Deputy Commissioner Kalyan Chowdhury and UNO of Bagmara Sumon Chowdhury were present during the discussion.
