Anti-Terrorism Unit of Bangladesh Police arrested an active member of banned Islamist militant outfit Ansarullah Bangla Team from Faridpur district on Tuesday evening.
ATU Police Super disclosed it to the Bangladesh Post on Wednesday.
He said the arrestee was identified as Md Salauddin, 26, son of Jahanhgir Biswas, hailing from Ramkantapur village under Saltha Upazila of Faridpur district.
ATU officials said, getting secret information, a team of ATU raided at Binkudia Majikandhi village under Nagarkanda Upazila of the district and nabbed the militant around 6:30 pm Tuesday.
ATU team also seized an android mobile set and four publications of the ABT from his possession.
Salauddin was conducting online campaign to launch to establishmilitant activities in the society and build Islamic Khelafat state Gazwatul Hind.A case was filed in this connection.
