Newly-appointed director general of elite force Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) Chowdhury Abdullah Al Mamun on Wednesday took charges of his office, reports BSS.
Mamun, additional inspector general of police, was severing as chief of criminal investigation department (CID). The government appointed him on April 8 while outgoing director general of RAB was appointed as the new Inspector General of Police (IGP) through a circular on that day. The order came into effect from Wednesday.
