The round robin league of Dhaka Premier League (DPL) cricket ended on Friday. The six teams moved into the Super League.
Title holders Abahani Limited is one step ahead in the race to become champion in the tournament.
Abahani Limited, Shinepukur Cricket Club, Mohammedan Sporting Club, Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club, Prime Bank Cricket Club and Gazi Group Cricketers confirmed the Super League.
Abahani will have win two more matches to retain the title for their five Super League matches.
Meanwhile, Partex avoided the relegation with an important 3-wicket after their win against Rupganj Tigers at the BKSP Ground -3 on Friday.
According to the Premier Cricket League bylaws and playing conditions, the bottom three teams in the points table (number 10, 11 and 12) have to play in the relegation league.
This time, after 11 matches of the first phase, 4 teams, Pertex Sporting, City Club, Rupganj Tigers Cricket Club and Gazi Tires Cricket Academy earned equal points. All these four teams have won two matches each and they managed four points each.
