Vidhu Vinod Chopra's Shikara hit the screens on Friday and the recently released film has been reviewed by none other than Aamir Khan. Aamir has worked with Vidhu in films like 3 Idiots (2009) and PK (2014).

Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan has wished good luck to filmmaker Vidhu Vinod Chopra for his latest release "Shikara" and said that it is a story that needs to be told. Aamir took to Twitter on Friday to convey his feelings and shared the link to the film's trailer.

He wrote: "Wishing you all the very best Vinod! 'Shikara' is a film about one of the most tragic events in our recent history. A story that needs to be told." The film is set against the backdrop of the Kashmiri Pandits' exodus from the Kashmir Valley in late 1989 and early 1990, in the wake of violence targeted against them.

Before Aamir, Manisha Koirala also reviewed Vidhu Vinod Chopra's Shikara. Manisha had attended the screening of the film with the director on February 4. She posted a photo of herself on Twitter in which Vidhu can be seen hugging the actress. Sadia, who made her Bollywood debut in Shikara, is also there in the frame.

Manisha called Shikara a "fabulous film" in her post. She also praised the performances by the cast. She wrote, "This will remain with you long after it’s over. Great music and absolutely top of the line performances by the cast! I wish this a super success."
