It was Bangladesh’s only second victory over higher ranked team in their T20 World Cup history since their win against West Indies in the inaugural edition in 2007.

The youngsters expressed their boldness and said the main thing is that they won the match and when any team win a match, their confidence will be high. Our young tigers will be roaring in this World Cup. It delights us to see that our youngsters proved the maturity and it was a real test of their mettle to carry the innings in a planned way.
The hunger for victory was evidenced in their body language as they put up an electrifying fielding performance that proved to be the eventual difference between the two sides. We have noticed when the critics lash our tigers’ performance, they hit back in the next game and register both bowling and batting figures high that helping Bangladesh win the game always.
Every player’s performance is important not only to make an impact in cricket quickly but also to help Bangladesh do better in this World Cup. As a team, we believe our tigers will continue improving in every game while the conditions have varied in each game, which is another challenge in itself. Our youngsters are confident now and they are dedicated to cricket alongside physical fitness. Bangladesh team is very balanced right now as it has a good pace attack, bolstered with Mustafizur Rahman, Taskin Ahmed, Shoriful Islam, and Tanzim Sakib alongside good and world-class spinners like Rishad Hossain.
Besides, Najmul Hossain Shanto, Tanzid Hasan Tamim, Tawhid Hridoy, Mahmudullah Riyad, and Mushfiqur Rahim, are very capable of finishing the game.
