The seven-year aged child Bristy went missing from New Market area of Chattogram nearly one year ago. Getting lost, she somehow arrived in Rajshahi and started to earn her living by begging and living on the footpath. Boalia thana police rescued child Brishty four-day ago and handed over her to her parents on Sunday morning. 

Bristy's father Rasel Ali is a betel-leaf seller by profession. Her mother Farzana Khatun is a house-wife. They live at Station Colony area of Ice-factory crossing in Chattogram. Getting back their lost daughter after a long time, emotion choked parents of Brishty thanked gratefully to Boalia thana police for their sincere effort to return their child back to their laps.  

Nibaran Chandra Barman, Officer-in-charge of Boalia police station informed, for last one year the child used to live by begging.

She purchased foods from roadside fast food shops and used to sleep on the footpath at night. Four-day ago, a local family asked Bristy to stay at their house when another family also wants her to stay with them which resulted in dispute between the two families. 

However, Bristy did not agree to stay with either family and the police was ultimately informed. Bristy was then taken to the police station and Mahboob Hossain, Inspector of Boalia thana police starts to find out whereabouts of parents of Bristy. Bristy informed her father's name and said, her father runs a betel-leaf shop near New Market of Chattogram. Based on the information, Inspector Mahboob contacted police of New Market area and could find out the parents of Bristi. He then informed the matter to them and called them to Rajshahi to take back Brishty. Getting informed, parents of Brishti rushed to Rajshahi and met their daughter Brishty at Boalia thana. 

OC Nibaran futher said, arrangement has been made to return Bristi and her parents to Chattogram. He added, he was happy that the missing, homeless child got back her parents for the sincere effort of police.
