94 primary teacher posts vacant!

The posts of 94 teachers in the primary schools of Chatmohar in Pabna have been vacant for a long time. There are 16 posts of head teacher and 78 posts of assistant teacher. The last teacher was appointed in early 2020. Since then some teachers have retired, some teachers have been transferred and two teachers have died while working. As a result, these posts have become vacant.

It is learned that there are 90 old government primary schools in Chatmohar. The number of newly nationalized primary schools is 65. Although classes have been started in the primary schools after a long 18 months, teaching is being disrupted due to vacancies of 94 teachers.

Upazila Education Officer KhandakerMahbubur Rahman said classes have not yet started in full swing after the Corona epidemic. Teachers are being sent on deputation in all the educational institutions where there is a crisis of teachers. This problem will be solved if new teachers are appointed.
