A fifty-year-old rural road was closed by an influential man at Chaugachha Upazila in Jashore district.
It has been alleged that 9 families have been blocked from all sorts of communication in this Incident.
The villagers have been using the road year after year; they are in dire straits because of the sudden shutdown the road.
The nine families have recently lodged a written complaint with the Chaugachha Upazila Nirbahi Officer to open the road.
Md Shukur Ali of Niamatpur village in Patibila union of the upazila has blocked the rural dirt road that has been being used for 50 years.
As a result, the common people of the village including nine local families are in extreme trouble.
In the written complaint, Mahar Ali, Dudu Mia, Nesar Ali, Abul Hossain, Asadul Islam, Lokman Hossain, Alamgir Hossain of Niamatpur village, said, we live in that village to use the road about fifty years ago.
The road was suddenly blocked by Shukur Ali with bamboo fence, poles. As a result, we have to get out of our resident with major hassles, said one of the distressed family member.
Chaugachha Police Station OC Saiful Islam Sabuj said none of the victims had lodged a complaint with the police station.
If a complaint is lodged by them, it must be investigated and legal action will be taken.
