Joint forces have arrested 9 people, including several listed top drug dealers, from the Korail slum in the capital’s Banani area on Monday.
Acting on specific intelligence information, the raid uncovered heroin and illegal funds associated with drug trafficking, according to a press release of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
According to the release, the arrested individuals had prior cases filed against them and were considered to be among the top-listed drug dealers in the area.
Following the operation, the seized drugs and money, along with the arrested individuals, were handed over to the police.
Officials confirmed the operation is part of ongoing efforts to combat crime and maintain law and order in vulnerable areas.
