Local administration has locked down 84 houses at Shailkupa in Jhenaidah to prevent coronavirus. The locked down houses are owned by the people fleeing from Dhaka, Gazipur or some other specific cities of the country.
The locked down houses are: four houses in Tribeni and Sarutia union each , eight in Mirzapur and Bagura, five in Dignagar, Umedpur and Manaharpur each, three in Kancherkole, ten in Abaipur, eleven in Nityanandapur, six in Dudhsar and fifteen in Phulahari union, said upazila health and family planning officer’s office sources.
Upazila health and family planning officer (UHFPO) in Shailupa Dr. Rashed Al Mamun said no positive corona patient was detected in Shailkupa so far. They have locked down the houses where people from Dhaka, Gazipur or some other specific cities have arrived in recent days.
They were advised in stay in the houses and nobody from outside could enter in the houses. The administration have been monitoring the houses came under locked down in last one week. They have collected samples from nine persons for medical examination, while received two negative ones, while remaining test results could not arri0ve so far, UHFPO said.
Officer in charge (OC) of Shailkupa police station Bazlur Rahman said the locked down houses will be kept under strict surveillance until and unless the situation is controlled. The law enforcers have been working to maintain social distance at every corner in the upazila to protect themselves from the slap of novel corona
